RACE DETAILS

THE ROUTE

Hangaway features the 50km ultra-distance, 34km, 24Km, and the 12Km distances. The race will start and finish at Egaña Elementary School in Egaña, Sibalom, Antique. This year, a new section will be introduced, adding to the race’s thrilling challenge.

The course is a dynamic mix of technical terrain, dirt and aggregate roads, fire trails, and hanging bridges. On rainy days, expect muddy uphill climbs and multiple river crossings—so be ready to get wet! Fortunately, the fresh, cool waters will provide a refreshing break for tired legs and help regulate body temperature.

Participants are advised to wear road-to-trail running shoes for optimal traction and comfort. Additionally, for safety reasons, runners must walk across the two hanging bridges, as vibrations can make running unstable and hazardous, especially when multiple participants cross at the same time.
