RULES & REGULATIONS

Please take note of the mandatory gear. Without these, you will not be allowed to join the race.

MANDATORY GEARS / EQUIPMENTS

  • Head Lamp (for 42 and 25 Km distance

  • Qualifying Race for 42Km participants

RACE RULES & GUIDELINES

  1. Waiver Requirement:
    Participants below 18 years old must have their waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

  2. Pre-Qualifications:

    • All 42K participants must have completed at least one 21K trail race or a full marathon road race within one year prior to race day (March 20, 2021, to March 19, 2022).

    • Qualifying race results must be verifiable online or via web sources. Alternatively, participants can submit a certificate to antiqueathletic@gmail.com with the subject: ATM Qualifying Race.

  3. Mandatory Medical Clearance for Senior Citizens:

    • Participants aged 60 years and above must present a medical clearance issued by a licensed physician.

    • The clearance must certify the participant's fitness to join the race and must be dated within six months prior to race day.

  4. Race Bib Requirement:
    Race bib numbers must be worn at all times during the race. Bibs should be securely pinned in front of the running shirt or shorts.

  5. Registration Policy:
    Registration is non-transferable and non-refundable.

  6. Safety and Emergencies:
    The organizers reserve the right to remove any participant from the race for safety reasons. Injuries and medical emergencies will be prioritized.

  7. Cut-Off Time:

    • A strict cut-off time will be implemented. Runners on the course after the cut-off time will be pulled out by race marshals.

    • Only those who finish the race within the cut-off time will receive a finisher’s medal and certificate.

  8. Race Start and Latecomers:

    • The race will start on time.

    • Late runners will be allowed to join within a maximum of 30 minutes after the start but must still finish within the required cut-off time.

  9. Race Rules Enforcement:

    • The organizers may impose time penalties or disqualifications for rule violations.

  10. Prohibited Actions:

    • No Littering: Any runner caught littering will be immediately disqualified (DQ).

    • No Cheating: Runners are not allowed to ride vehicles or take shortcuts, even if not competing for a podium finish.

    • No Tampering with Route Markers: Removing route markers for any purpose (e.g., splints or cramp prevention) will result in disqualification.

  11. Protests:
    All protests related to the results must be submitted in writing to the Race Director within 30 minutes after the official announcement of winners.

  12. Mandatory Gear Check:
    Runners are subject to random gear checks at any point along the route. Participants with incomplete mandatory gear will not be allowed to continue and will be disqualified.

  13. Organizers’ Discretion:

    • The organizers reserve the right to make changes at their discretion without prior notice.

    • All decisions by the organizers are final.

HYDRATION AND FIRST AID STATIONS

All runners are REQUIRED to bring their own hydration vest or bottle with a minimum of 1.5-liter capacity. Hydration will be provided in designated Aid Stations. Please refer to the route map for the exact locations. All runners must bring their own cups. Plastics or paper cups will not be available at the aid stations. There are rivers and natural spring waters sprouting along the route that runners can use to wash, bathe or freshen up but not recommended for drinking especially if you have a sensitive stomach. Rescue and first aid stations will be strategically placed along the route. ​

RACE BRIEFING AND KIT DISTRIBUTION will be on Saturday, March 19, 3:00 pm at ----. All runners are required to attend.
