ABOUT THE RACE
A Taste of Antique Trails" (ATAT) is an annual trail running event held in the province of Antique, Philippines. Established over seven years ago, ATAT is recognized as the first trail running race in the province, celebrating the stunning landscapes of Antique. Each year, the event introduces participants to new routes, showcasing the region’s diverse and scenic terrain.
In its third year, ATAT took runners to Aningalan, known as Antique’s summer capital, located over 800 meters above sea level in the municipality of San Remigio. The race featured distances of 8 km, 16 km, and 25 km and remained in Aningalan for another year before being postponed due to the pandemic.
In 2022, from the routes of ATAT, a new race was born—The Aningalan Trail Marathon—which introduced a 42 km distance, extending into Igbaras, Iloilo. After its launch, ATAT was put on hold once again and is finally making a comeback this year.
ATAT returns with an exciting new format—a 12-hour endurance run.
The event is organized by the Antique Road and Trail Running (ARTrunning). More than just a race, ATAT aims to promote eco-tourism and foster a deeper appreciation for the natural beauty and rich cultural heritage of Antique.
This is a qualifying race for HANGAWAY TRAIL 50.
